Ingredients: Jamaican pimento, Ginger, Paprika, Garlic, Onion Flakes, Thyme, Oregano, Black pepper, Celery, Salt, Sugar
No MSG (Monosodium Glutamate). This sauce can be used as a marinade for seasoning.
Street side vendors cook jerked pork and chicken over hot charcoal and branches of pimento. The aroma is potent and the taste delicious. To jerk meat or fish use one to two teaspoons of jerk seasoning per one pound of meat or fish. Rub the seasoning well in with oil and allow to stand and marinade for at least one hour. Grill or barbecue until golden brown.
